Someone has to be first to try wrapping a lampshade in yarn to see what happens. That is roughly how this started.
I have been making things for as long as I can remember, mostly because I cannot leave a plain object alone. The lamps started the way these things usually do: a shade I did not like, a basket of leftover yarn, and an evening with nothing else on.
What surprised me was not how it looked. It was how good it felt to finish something in one sitting. Most crafts ask you to come back to them — a half-knitted sleeve, a quilt in a bag under the bed. This one does not. You start with a bare shade and three hours later you plug in a lamp.
So I built a workshop around exactly that. Everything you need arrives on the table, nothing has to be learned in advance, and nobody goes home with homework. The only decisions that matter are which colours and how wide — and people take those decisions surprisingly seriously, which is the best part to watch.
Wrapped lamps is the first workshop. It will not be the last.
